April 2, 2016 – Work continues to bring Panzer Kids Deluxe to publication, with an eye on release sometime in May. The rules for determining stats for your favorite historical tanks are complete. We’ve just finished a long reference section with brief notes and stats for the key tanks, self-propelled guns, and anti-tank guns from the German, Italian, French, British, Soviet, and American arsenals. We’re fine-tuning the host of optional rules to add to the basic rules and determining the best order for integrating into your game. A timeline of major events in the war and notable tank engagements will offer more historical context to the rules. We have a host of scenario ideas to help demonstrate these rules and present historical challenges to explore through gameplay. It’s still a lot of work before everything enters layout, but we’re moving forward to release the best possible game for young people and their parents to explore this aspect of miniature wargaming.
You can always download Panzer Kids Basic for free/pay-what-you-want to read and try out the basic rules upon which the deluxe version builds.
